User Actions and Permissions
What actions can I take on the Users Listing Page?
On the Users Listing Page, you can perform three main actions for each user:
- Edit user details and roles
- Activate or Deactivate users
- Remove users from the system
You can find these actions in the Actions column of the users listing table.
What does the Remove User action do, and is it permanent?
The Remove User action permanently deletes the user and all associated data from the system.
This action is irreversible! A confirmation prompt will appear before deletion to prevent accidental removal.
User Creation and Role Management
How do I create a new user?
Follow these steps to create a new user:
- Navigate to Account Settings
- Click "Manage Users"
- Click "+ New User"
- Fill in the required details:
- First Name
- Email ID
- User Roles
- Click "Create" to complete the process
The Email ID cannot be changed after account creation.
Can I assign multiple roles to a user?
Yes, you can assign multiple roles to a user. During user creation or editing:
- Open the User Roles dropdown
- Select multiple roles as needed
- Save the changes
Can I assign new roles to multiple users at once?
No, role assignments must be done individually for each user through the Edit User interface.
Editing Users
How do I edit an existing user's details?
To edit a user:
- Find the user in the Users Listing Page
- Click the Edit icon in the Actions column
- Update the necessary information:
- Name
- User Roles
- Click Save to apply changes
Can I change the Email ID of an existing user?
No, the Email ID is permanent and cannot be modified after the initial account creation.
If you need to change an email address, you'll need to create a new user account and remove the old one.
Can I update user roles in the Edit User screen?
Yes, you can modify user roles in the Edit User screen:
- Open the User Roles section
- Add or remove roles as needed
- Save your changes
What should I do if I want to discard changes while editing a user?
Simply click the "Cancel" button to exit the Edit User screen without saving any changes.
No changes are saved until you explicitly click the Save button.
